Revenue derived from traffic tickets written by Sheriff’s Deputies on I95 is down $100,000.00 a month. I predicted some months ago that the arbitrary cutting of the Sheriff’s budget would do exactly that. Comm. Berry pushed through a $2,000,000.00 cut without examining the entire budget. In the case of TAD you can argue that it was bad on two counts. Firstly, the concept of “corporate welfare” was inappropriate.
