RESPONSE TO COMMISSIONER SEAR’S LETTER

Posted on February 10, 2010 | Email This!

Just because the local developers have fallen on hard times is no reason to transfer cost of new infrastructure to our citizens.

Why should we (who are also facing hard times)  (almost 9% unemployment) carry future buyers on our over taxed back?  The answer is no, we should not.

Ms. Sears’s logic is thoughtful but unfortunately misguided.    I might add

Bill Gross was the  biggest contributor to her campaign (by far) in her election

bid  in 2006.

    Sandy,

When the Commissioners say they only collected $48,000 in fee last year, is that all that was owed, and if not how much were they supposed to collect?
